Mike Leggett (b. 1945) is an artist, curator, writer, director, producer, editor and teacher. Since the mid-1960s, he has made work with film, video, performance and print. Mike co-founded the London Filmmakers Co-op workshop with Malcom Le Grice. His artworks have been exhibited internationally, including; The Hayward Gallery,London, the Beaubourg (Paris), The Henry Moore Foundation,Leeds, The Santiago Museum of History and Memory (Chile), Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Canada.

Mike has curated exhibitions for The Exe Gallery, Exeter, UK, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, the Brisbane International Film Festival, 5th International Documentary Conference, Brisbane, and Videotage Festival of Video Art, Hong Kong. Mike is a contributor to Leonardo (MIT), and has written for other journals includingContinuum, World Art, FineArt Forum and RealTime, among others.

Mike’s work is in archives and collections in Europe, Australia, North and South America. LUX, London are his international distributors.

He holds postgraduate degrees from University of New South Wales and University of Technology, Sydney.
