The making of The Heart Cycle commenced in 1973 with a solo CCTV performance, recorded to videotape. the duration of which was determined by the running time of a 1950s era, 16mm, biology, instructional film of the same title. Diuring 2020 the artist received a course of hospital treatment, when machines were employed (and videoed) that echoed the1973 artwork. The final performance brought these elements together into The Heart Cycle, 2021.
